Design-your-own-menu in this trendy spot in the Flatiron area. The menu is set up with the course catagories (starter, main, side, etc.) across the top, with preparations in each catagory top to bottom (braised, roasted, sauteed, etc.) Within each preparation is the available item (like Capon, lobster, potato, etc.)
The food is definitely comfort-food... not unlike a good cook would make at home. Some standouts were the Roasted Capon and Potato Risotto (Potatoes hand-cut into rice-sized pieces and prepared like risotto).
Excellent Desserts.
Service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. |
