Yama

Known for larger than usual slabs of fish in their sushi and sashimi for reasonable price.

Lunch at Yama is a steal, where almost all entrees are under $20. You also won't have to deal with the serpentine lines that form during the dinner hour. Large, fresh slabs of fish are the hallmark of this restaurant. The service and ambiance (smells a little fishy some days) leave something to be desired, but otherwise, it's one of NYC's best sushi places.
